"Go ahead, throw your vote away!"
I. An Inclination to Throw Their Vote Away
The ideal third party voter is an impractical person; this describes a Christian fundamentalist, a person who's only goal is to serve the Christian ideal. They aren't pragmatic about earthly matters, their only priority is with Heaven, so they're more concerned about throwing away their soul.
Matthew 7:13 Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:.Being practical means taking the broad path and making compromises; to compromise is to make a deal with the devil. The Christian fundamentalist doesn't believe in choosing the lesser of two evils; they believe in the straight and narrow path, even though only a few others will follow.
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.
II. An Incentive to Throw Their Vote Away
There are two types of person who believe their individual vote is being judged by an overseeing authority. The first type is a conspiracy theorist who thinks the government is always watching, especially in the voting booth; this type of person is probably not a "likely voter". The second type of person is someone who believes in God; this type of person will vote for an irrelevant third party so that The Omniscient doesn't send them to hell.
Pappa Papparazi
The Democrats need to make sure that there's a prominent candidate that will attract these Christian idealists. They should secretly start a party called The Righteous Path and nominate some evangelical paragon who hasn't sullied himself with earthly matters (Huckabee and Palin fall short). They should drive home the idea that voting for "the lesser of two evils" is unacceptable in the eyes of God.
The Righteous Path Party
God Is Watching
Matthew 7:15 - Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
